Can my dad get financial aid?

I'm a 2nd year receiving financial aid. My mom is employed and my dad is currently receiving Unemployment after being laid off about a few weeks ago. Can he get financial aid assistance as well? How would this work out?
oh yeah, both of my parents never got a degree or anything above a high school diploma.
