my usb flash drive claims to have been updated a number of minutes ago and i never told it to do anything, never ejected it. it just told me it had been disconnected and so i pulled it out and plugged it back in. it popped up under a different name and the 3 gb of material i had on it before was no longer existent. right now im on a mac and i was when it i guess "reformatted", but i get the same thing when i plug it into my roommate's pc. is there something i can do to fix it? or to recover the files that right now are lost?
