can MY cellphone get a virus?

ok, so i've downloaded like 60 ringtones on my phone using mobile web from myxer.com, and i know that phones using symbian operating systems can get it and crap, but i dunno what kind of operating systen my phone has or anything. i have a pantech matrix (c740) from at&t. can anyone tell me if my phone can get a virus from mobile web or downloading things from mobile web? thanks!!

p.s. if it is able to get a virus, how do i know i have one/ get rid of it?

and DON'T tell me i can't get a virus from myxer.com, my laptop ALMOST did before!
it was a virus, but i have trend micro and it blocked it. trust me, it wasn't adware.
 
I highly doubt it and I am sure that you didn't get a virus from myxer. It most likely was adware or something. Your in control of your computer. Put a good virus program like Avast, browse appropriate sites, and you should be fine. As far as your cellphone, I am sure you can't. But if it makes you feel better you can always send them directly to your phone using an email account.
