Can my brother cash a check for me?

I am 14 yrs old and have a check written out to me. The check has my first initial and my last name. (EX. Joe Smith = j. Smith) I am not allowed to touch my account until I'm 18. My brother is 18 yrs old and has his own account. If i gave it to my brother would he be able to get cash for my check?
