Can my boarding school see what i do online?

I go to a boarding school and the network here has some kind of program that sees where we go online SUPPOSEDLY, im not sure to what extent or if there are any ways to bypass it (private browsing?) thanks in advance! P.S. there are a couple blocked torrent sites that i have tried to go to so far and the name of what says is blocking it is like iprism or something, just incase that helps : P
