Can my adult cat eat the square light orange chex mix pieces?

I just fed him one and he loved it. I want to know if I can give it to him as an occasional snack, not a lot though. Like 1 or even 2. I grabbed an unopen bag of chex mix and he came running up. I opened it. I tried to feed him a pretzel, he didn't bother it. Then I tried the orange square. He licked and licked at it then put the whole thing in his mouth. When he finished he kept licking his lips. I didn't see anything that seemed harmful too him on the ingredients. It had protein which is good for him. So what is your say? I don't want him to get sick or anything.

I wouldn't. Does it contain any onion or garlic powder? That could be harmful and it is in most forms of chex mix. Also chex are usually made of corn, wheat or rice all of which are not necessary for cats. It would be like giving a tortoise ice cream. Or a human a mouse. They aren't meant to eat it, so I wouldn't offer it.

Well you know it probably wouldn't be any different then his cat food where the first ingredient is corn for goodness sake. It wouldn't hurt him, but just don't give him to many. ^_^
