Can Media and translation functions be combined ?

There is a proposal a Job Title of " MEDIA AND TRANSLATION SPECIALIST" for Public Relaitons Department, but the Management is requesting to show any example from any recognized Organization which has combined the two functions of Media and Translation

What is the opinion of experts on this? Can these functions be combined ? any example of a recognized Organization?
