i have a 91 chevy c1500 that i rebuilt the engine in it ran fine for about two months then a few days ago i started it up and it putted around and when i gave it gas it would try to die almost like it was flooding and then rev up to where it was supposed to be again. the day after that i whent to start it and it wouldnt start ....i changed fuel pump ...fuel filter....and rebuilt throttle body....i have a good spart the distributor and coil are brand new and i even had them all tested regardless of them being new... and it is in time ....its getting fuel as far as i know but beings as i have nobody there to help me im not completely sure the fuel pump doesnt shut off after a few seconds of cranking ....i have noticed that my oil pressure is not as high as it used to be and i know that some chevys have a switch that will shutt off the fuel pump if the oil pressure is not too low....i was getting about 10-15 lbs of pressure while cranking on my first start up now i am getting about 4 lbs but that seems to be within spec for 1000rpm..i have an oil pressure sender and another oil pressure thing that i know runs the oil pressure gage but im not sure if it serves as a switch for the fuel pump as well...i dont think this is the case because there is only one wire on it ....any feedback is highly appreciated and any suggestions to my problem is really great as well but i have looked over all th obvious so it would be a waiste of your time to suggest checkin the plugs and cap ....please help lol ive never seen anything like ths before
