CAN LINE 38.0 ERROR and logistics questions

A few problems/questions....

Background: Installed Termis myself including the ECU, used a grounding strap and made sure battery was disconnected.

Now, I have a CAN LINE 38.0 ERROR..

I tried the swapping keys every 3 secs method to see if it was an immobilizer issue, didn't help..Any other suggestions? The bike won't start as the orange light is on. Battery is at 12.2, I know that's low but shouldn't the bike at least attempt to start?

Is there a way to blow the code out and start over without taking the bike to the dealer or buying a VDST license?

Second Question, i'm assuming this is under warranty as Termi kit is a DP part, I don't have a truck, should I call Roadside, will they pick it up?

CAN line refers to a Controller Area Network protocol. This is used by Ducati for communication between the instrument cluster and the engine control module. CAN lines are a twisted pair (CAN high and CAN low).

The error could be many things such as an open circuit in the line, the lines shorted together or a transceiver problem in the either the instrument cluster or ECM.

Diagnosis isn't all that difficult but it requires knowledge of the system and some diagnostic equipment. Unless you happened to abuse some wiring during the Termi install, it's probably not related.
