My girlfriend and I are engaged to be married when she returns from Basic Military Training(BMT) in the Air Force.
Afterward, I shall go live with her on wherever base she's sent to.
I live in the States, but currently I am not a U.S. Citizen or resident.
However, I have an "alien" number, passport, a state ID from Oregon and a social security number/card. I am also a High School graduate with a diploma.
I no longer have a permanent visa. I am only able to travel within the U.S.
And yes, she is a natural U.S. citizen.
I am currently working, but:
Will I be able to obtain a job there as a military spouse at base?
What are the requirements?
Also I've heard of an immigration lawyer at bases. Will he or she be able to help?
Marriage is not an issue, as only an ID or passport (and possibly my SSN) are required for a marriage license.
And I have that.
