im sure the optometrist told you not to sleep with them in ever. especially soft lenses. calcium builds up in the corners of your eyes while you sleep, and it comes from excess saline. if the calcium were to even touch the contact, you'd be in for a world of hurt

...as well? ? I'm going to go on a camping trip soon, 10 days out in the Australian Bush! :) However, I do have a small problem with contact lenses. I wear soft contact lenses, 2 weekly ones, and I need to know whether I can wear these safely out in the bush. Do I need to take them out daily, or can I sleep with them on? If I need to take them out daily, how do I clean them? I've heard that 30-day lenses can be used overnight, but I've also heard that sleeping overnight can lead to infections! Also, I'm planning on bringing Saline, a bottle of No-Rub solution, some wipes, and of course water. What else do I need?

i dont think its a good idea to wear them for that long. you should take them out ever night and put them in the case with contacts solution. if you wear your contacts overnight, they dont get to breathe and may lead to infection.

you should get some cheap glasses at rite aid or somewhere thats in your prescription and just wear those during the camping trip and toss them later

Please dun wear them overnight. i know there are kinds of lenses which claim they are meant for overnight, but still it's no good for the eyes, they'll become really tired and easily dried up. there'll be too much PROTEIN.

Why don't you buy those daily lenses? 10 pairs of them. (or if you cheat, 5 pairs)

anyway, hope u have lots of fun for the trip.
