can i wear my civilian glasses in the navy after boot camp?

i know i will have to wear bc glasses in boot camp but will i have to during my whole time in the military?
 
you can wear your own glasses. Pretty sure you can during boot camp as well. It would take too long to do an exam and make glasses for every new recruit that needs them.
 
Yea you can wear normal ones after if they don't fall into the fad category. You do get a pair that you can wear under you gas mask and such. There not as big and ugly as BCG though.

And yes you do have to wear BCG at boot and they do test everyones eyes and all that the first poster is wrong
 
Yes. Keep your issue glasses for on board ship. Change them before going on liberty.
