Can I wear my brown coat with grey boots?

I've been craving grey boots. So badly. I bought a winter coat first, and it happened to be brown. I wasn't sure if I'd end up getting the boots or not, and I found it and liked it. It's a light brown. If I were to wear my dark skinny jeans with my grey boots and the coat, would it work at all?
