Can I use the WiFi on my BlackBerry Curve to transfer data on home network?

Just got a BlackBerry Curve 8520. It is WiFi enabled. Its my first BB.

What I want to know is:
1. Can I use the BB's WiFi to connect to my home network?
2. If So, How do I?
3. Will I then be able to browse the folders on my Laptops C:drive, on the BB and then transfer what I want to the BB's memory?
