Can I use the System Rescue CD to locally back up files onto a flash drive?

I'm using a SanDisk Cruzer with the U3 launchpad uninstalled.

If you don't think this is the best CD to use, please suggest another.

(If you know how to do this with Freedos as well, again, please share!)
Yes, that's what I'm talking about, but I would like an exact method to guide me.
