My sister got a spiffy touch phone and gave me her Sprint Blackberry 8330 phone and I want to use it as a Pay as you go phone. Is it possible to do so? I know Virgin Mobile uses Sprints network and I asked a rep at Virgin Mobile about it and he said even though they use Sprint's network, it isn't possible to use Sprints blackberry for their pay as you go plans. Is he just saying that to get me to spend money and buy a new phone from them or is it true? He did say it may be possible to unlock it and use it on other wireless carriers network but it just was not possible with Virgin Mobile.
Is there any other carrier that uses CDMA so that I can use it on their network as a pay as you go phone?
