Can I use Samsung Captivate with a 3g tmobile card?

I want to know if I will be able to use my 3g tmobile sim card with an unblocked samsung captivate. Right now I am using a samsung gravity t which is a 3g phone. I just want to make sure I will be able to use the captivate with the sim card I have now.
