I just got a Bold 9700 (T-mobile), I paid for the unlimited text instead of data plan. The seller told me that I would be able to go on internet if I'm in wi-fi coverage area, even if I didn't pay for data plan.
But after I got the phone, I tried to go on internet; which is in wi-fi coverage area, but it said that I need to pay for data plan.
Does that mean that I can't go on internet even if the place(s) have wi-fi, if I didn't pay the data plan?
