Can i use blackberry chat on my new blackberry? x?

have just got a blackberry curve for a very cheap contract deal of only 15 pound, I get 100 minutes and unlimited texts, I have the internet on my phone but it will cost if i go on since i have no free internet. I was wondering since i do have the internet on my phone can i use blackberry chat without it costing since i do have the internet plan, or will it still cost me just to use the chat on its own?
Someone please help me . . . I really want to use blackberry chat its such a nightmare.
