I just bought a vintage polaroid polasonic 4000 camera. However there's no flash gun on it. I'm just wondering do I need to buy a specific brand for it or can I use any brand of flash guns?
No, those used flash bars. They haven't been made in around 20 years because they were one time use.
If you're really desperate (& really lucky) you could look for the one dedicated flash made for those cameras. I included a link to the only one I've seen (it's in French, though).
