i was wondering if i could purchase a unlocked android or windows mobile phone and not need a data plan. the data plans r just too expensive. also i wont b using the internet or anything so i dont really need the data. ya i know it seems pointless but i am just curious if i can do this. i have tmobile and their non smartphones suck. i am just going to use the phone to text and call but i also want a high end phone. my plan consists of 400 whenever minutes and unlimited texting and i was wondering if i could buy a unlocked smartphone and not get charged extra monthly.....on a side note if i do need to use the internet or get apps cant i just use wifi? and will i get charged for that? cuz people say wifi is free of data charges. but the main thing im wondering is if i can use a smatphone without a data plan and getting charged monthly.
