Can I use an Iphone4 SIM in a HTC Desire?

I have the converter for the SIM still so it will fit as normal but wanted to know whether this will still receive DATA & 3G or are there settings I need to amend?
 
Yes, provided the HTC Desire is not locked with any other different network.If it is, then you need to unlock the phone..To unlock you can approach your network provider or a third party unlock like Simpleunlocking.com and remove the network lock.Once unlocked you can swap the sim from iPhone 4
