Will my Kindle 2 be damaged if I attempt to charge it using the newest Apple USB Power Adaptor that has a USB port with a power output of 5V 1A? The Kindle 2's USB power input is labeled on the back of the device as 4.9V 0.85A so I'm not sure if the Apple adaptor will work or if it will damage the Kindle 2 and I'm not willing to plug it in and risk damaging it just to find out. It would be nice to have to carry around less cables and adapters in my bag.
Can I use an Apple USB Power Adaptor to charge the Kindle 2?
