I had a SunCom Unplan before they got bought out by T-Mobile and am pretty happy with it. I have the unlimited data plan as well and am currently using a Samsung Gravity and it does show the "3G" box up in the corner when I'm downloading emails, using the internet, etc. I have a friend who is looking to sell me a unlocked/rooted Samsung Vibrant and I'd like to buy it off of him. Would this work? As far as I can tell, I'd just need to drop in my SIM card and set the internet/data settings up and it should be good to go. But this would be my first Android phone. I've heard mixed opinions as to whether or not it would work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Can I use an Android phone on my T-Mobile/SunCom plan without upgrading?
