can i use a non cricket phone with my cricket wireless service?

i wanted to buy an unlocked sidekick (or another nice phone such as that one) off amazon.com because crickets phone suck but i didnt know if i would be able to use it with my cricket service. and if it did work with the service, would i still be able to get all the feautures like picture mail, ect?

if you have any idea please reply because i called customer service and they just had a recording which did not help at all and i googled it and still couldnt find the answer. please answer or email me?
