Can i use a flash drive for this?

My history teacher gave us a project to do with Photo Story 3. We have a computer lab at school, and that's where we go to work on it. But, if i wanted to work on it at home, could i just save it to a flash drive, take it to school and then work on it their? ( and you know bring it home and work on it take it to school, ect.)

Please tell me! D:
