Can I use a different headset for Xbox Live?

The Logitech ones won't work because they only use the USB port and most require drivers which you can't install on the 360. In order for headsets to work with the 360, they need to plug into the controller. Turtle Beach makes a line of gaming headsets that will work on the 360; these plug into both the controller and the USB port so voice and game sound is transferred. Some of the Skullcandy ones also work and you can use cell phone headsets if they have a 3.5mm jack.
 
Ok I just bought a logitech premium usb headset 350. I was wondering if theres a way i can plug it into xbox and use that instead of the origanal xbox headset
 
I'm not sure but i think any headset that plugs into the controller works.
