Can I update my iPod touch to 4.2.1 without losing my jailbreak things?

I have a lot of Themes and stuff I want to keep but I also need the new jailbreak. Is there a way to keep my installous apps and themes without losing jailbreak? I'm currently 4.0 wanting to go to 4.2.1
