can i update my iphone 3gs to 4.0 with 4.0.2 being out?

its on 3.1.3 but i never updated it to 4.0 when it came out.. well now 4.0.2 is out and it cant be jailbroken and i want to.. so will itunes let me just update it to 4.0 manually? thanks.
