i have a jail broken 3.1.2 ipod touch and i want to know if i can update it to a 4.2 without erasing everything. i want to keep my music, videos, pictures, and apps. also will i have the jail break still be there if i update 4.2? jail breaking isn't too much of an issue and neither is updating the ipod. the main thing i want to know is if i can get my ipod touch 3.1.2 to a 4.2 jail broken with no issues of any kind. i really need a lot of help with this. please and thank you.
