Can i unlock a reported lost/stolen Blackberry Storm 9500?

I bought a blackberry storm 9500 off eBay, only to realise once it came in the post that it's been reported lost/stolen so its all locked up/blocked etc. so i can't really do anything. Just wondering if there's any ways around this i.e unlocking?
The person I bought it off wont do refunds, so obviously I can't send it back
