Can I turn on the flash on a nokia slide independently from the camera?

only with additional software.. i have few cam apps that let you turn the flash on or off (it depends on what nokia it is)
 
I don't know that particular phone, but on my cell phone my daughter found a 'light' option mixed in with the organization tools (calendar, alarms, calculator etc.). Try giving the phone to a 10-year-old and asking them to see if it has a light in it. ;)
