Can I trust the dealership fixing my car after an accident?

The insurance company of the woman who hit me gave me three choices of body shops. One was the dealer of the make of my car; so I chose them.

I was hit from behind. So far the bumper needs replaced, and they are checking for further damage. They call me today to say the car won't start. I drove it to the dealership, and two people there drove it. They want $75 just to check it out; presumably it would cost me even more to have them fix whatever the problem turns out to be. They say the car turns over but doesn't keep running. So it could be a spark plug or a wire.

Since the car was running when I turned it over to them, is it their responsibility to check it out without charging me?
