Can I transfer XP files (Photos,Videos and Word) to Windows 7???.?

I have an old XP Home computer and have just bought a Laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit,can I transfer my Photos,Videos and Word folders straight to the Laptop,or do I need to buy some software and cables.My XP Home is only 32 Bit,I think?.
