can i tow a small trailer with a 93 Toyota Tercel?

or should i consider buying an old beat up minivan/station wagon? i just started a new business of selling childrens' books and need car space (that my little Toyota doesnt have) to haul books to craft shows every weekend. budget is very limited. ideas?
 
U Haul offers a trailer hitch for your car. It is rated at 2000 lbs for the trailer and contents. A small utility trailer would be well within that limit. The hitch sells for $110. A beat up mini van or station wagon will be a lot more expensive to keep up than a trailer.
