Can i take my dogs hiking in the snow?

Its about 20 degress with a .25 inch of snow on the ground and i was thinking about taking the dogs hiking. I worry about their paws though with longterm exposure to the snow. Thoughts? One is a 40 lbs. heeler mix and the other a Weim. The weim has a coat. thanks
 
i'd take them.
dogs feet are built for many different types of terrain. and 20 isn't really that cold.
provided that you aren't walking on sharp ice, your dogs should be just fine.
 
My dog goes with me 2 miles everyday. I was below zero (F) this AM. He is a mostly heeler and loves it.
