hey if anyone could help me out it would be awesome,

I am a UK citizen soon to become a resident in the US (Tennessee) on a work/artist visa. i need to be able to drive a car in the US, but do not have my full UK license yet. i have my provisional license, and have taken and passed my written theory test, but i have a set date for leaving for the states (25th november) and cannot be certain that i will pass my test here in the UK.

as the provisional license here must be the equivalent to a learner's permit there, would i be able to take a test for a FULL US license?

I am 18 years old.

please help! thanks
