Can I switch phones with sprint if my contract is not up?

You would have to break your contract and pay a certain fee (depends on the carriers). So no, you can't get a new phone without changing your contract. The terms for getting a new phone is the same process afterwards when you start a new contract, pay around $200 or more (if you have a smart phone) for breaking your contract, and then select the phone you want and start a new contract with sprint. Basically select and pay for your phone :P)

out of curiosity, what phone model do you have?
 
My contract ends in 2012 but i would like a new phone this summer, i dislike mine and it just sucks to be honest. Would i be able to get a new phone without changing my contract? like whats the terms on getting a new phone?
