Can I switch out a 97 grand prix gtp supercharged automatic transmission for a 97

pontiac grand prix gt trans? I just want to know if I can switch the trans out since mine went.
The transmission on mine went out and so I am looking to buy one from a parted out car. Can I do that?

NO the regular trans is not beefed up for supercharger duty.

Why do you think the trans went out in the first place? what is it doing?
