Can I switch my sim card from a T Mobile Nokia to a T Mobile Sidekick LX?

I'm on a family plan and our contract expires in March. We're thinking of changing to a month by month plan. I'm trying to buy a sidekick lx on ebay and was wondering if I could take my sim card that is in my nokia and put it into a sidekick without any issues and be able to use that phone just as normally.
