Can I switch my mobile's SIM card?

I'm in LOVE with my Sony Ericsson W580i, I've had it for over a year now, I've customized it and everything to my liking.. I don't want to let it go. I have a choice between Fido and Virgin Mobile, I like VM plans so far but I hate all the mobile choices.. and there's no Sony Ericcssons =(( But at the same time I don't even know if I can use my mobile for Fido which has a 100 x better plan than stupid Rogers! (I'm with Rogers paying $20 a week and feeling bankrupt!)

So would Virgin Mobile and/or Fido's SIM card work in my mobile??
 
No. That happened to me. I got a different model phone, same brand (Nokia) and everything with the same company and still SIM card would not work in my phone. Chances are no. Unless you get another Ericsson W580i.
