Can I switch my altell lg phone to a verizon samson alias?

I currently have a altell lg phone but its old. can i buy a used verizon samson alias on ebay and switch it over? i dont have a plan where i have to stick with my current phone. And If so what kind do i have to buy? cmda? gsa? CDMA2000 1X 1900/800? are these different and which one should I get?
