can i swap my axles on a chevy truck from 10-12bolt?

alright now i know i can swap the axle no big deal but heres my problem i have a chevy 4x4 front 10 bolt w/ 3.73 gears and a 4x4 4.10 rear end but i also have a 2wd chevy 12 bolt w/ 3.73 can i swap the axle shafts from a 10 bolt to a 12 bolt reason being is the 2wd is a 5 lug & the 4x4 is 6 lug
