can i swap ignition on 06 chrysler 300 to my wife's 07 chrysler 300?

my 06 was totaled and i had 3 keys my wife only has 1 for the 07. i cant believe chrysler wants to to charge an arm and a leg to get one made. so i was thinking i could just swap out the ignition
 
no.these cars are equipped with a pass key system that has a specific resistance that the compyeter in the car has programmed into it specific to that car.you cannot change them between each other.
