I'm debating buying a Verizon iPhone and I want to take advantage of the unlimited data plan before it's gone on July 7th. In the spring of 2012 i'm planning on studying abroad in Italy but the iPhone does not work over there (yes, I know they may be coming out with a world mode iPhone but if I hold out I may not get unlimited data). Anyways, when I go to Italy I want to use a pay as you go phone over there. Is there a way that I can suspend my two year contract during that time so I don't have to be paying for the phone's voice/text or data?
P.S. I'll only be in Italy for 4 months. (i don't know if the suspension has a time frame)
