My mother in law is in WV & we live in northern NY. She expects me to feed my baby the same thing she fed her kids 30-40 yrs ago - "greasy fatty southern cooking". We eat healthy - lots of vegetables & lean meats & ofcourse we all have junkfood - but she is telling everybody in WV that I am "starving my baby" because we dont eat mashed potatoed & gravy every night. She went as far as to ask my sister in law "if the baby ate anything?" a few days ago. My pediatrician assured me that my baby is in perfect health & growing & is not missing anything. I would like to threaten her to stop saying I'm "starving my baby", or else I will sue her for slander. Is this legal?
