I recently got the camera i have been begging for four months. I REALLY wanna learn to get into photography. Im only 14 and theyre arent any photography classes i can take and i dont have enough to get an SLR camera.

I wanted to know if the Canon Powershot A590 can still take good photograpy. And if so. is there any books you might know for beginners WITHOUT an SLR camera. tips on the camera itself.
anything really would be appreciated.

All you can do is learn how to compose. Learning how to control f/stops and shutter speeds to shoot things like star trails, selective focus, panning at slow shutter speeds to emulate speed or motion and uses lenses from fisheye to extreme telephoto lenses.

After while you will want to buy a nice used 35 mm Nikon or Canon SLR with standard zoom lens for under $150 on craigslist.

Here are almost a million samples of photos from the Canon A590. See what great results you can get?

I can really recommend this book as an excellent source for a beginner: "Get the Most from Your Digital Camera," by Simon Joinson.

I am sure that it is not "everything" Simon knows about photography, but it is sure to help you get started.
