Can I Skip A Month Of My Boost Mobile Phone Service?

So I recently got another job. Decided to upgrade my cricket shit text phone to a boost mobile android phone. I also now have no friends who call me. I thought about just turning the phone into a MP3 player like a zune or ipod and using its wifi and bluetooth for web browsing etc so its not a total loss till i need it again aka get a friend.

Will I lose my number or will the bills stack if I skip a month or will i just get a new number when i decide to pay again?
 
after u miss ur bill payment ur phone will get turn off.i don't think boost keep charging u after ur st missed payment.now after about months(i think) ur phone service will no longer exist and u will loose that number.when u got into pay the bill they will give u a new number
