I have been taking care of five hermit crabs that I purchased while on vacation in Destin, Florida. Recently, I've decided that I want to return them to their natural habitat but would like to do this safely. I do not want to release them only to send them straight to their demise. I cannot find any help online relating to this question. Is it safe to return them to the beach in Florida and if so, when and how?
