I just manually downloaded the newest iPhone OS (iOS 4.0), and I wanted to restore my iPod Touch to it since it's stuck in recovery mode. However, the computer I'm using right now is running Ubuntu 10.04, and the machine with my iTunes on it does not have an active internet connection. I figure verifying it with Apple would require access to the internet. So, is there a way I can restore my iPod Touch without verifying it with Apple?
